The first of these EV charging stations have already been set up at Love's locations in Ripley and Waterloo, New York. Each site is equipped with two dual-port 160 kW Level 3 DC fast chargers, and AC chargers are also available at various Love’s locations nationwide.
The company has announced that construction will begin this year on four additional NEVI-funded charging stations in Pennsylvania, with four more to follow in Kentucky. Love’s has also stated that all new Travel Stops will be designed to accommodate EV Chargers, allowing for quick collaboration with local utility providers to meet future customer demand.
At present, Love's charging network includes over 100 EV charging stations across 28 stores in 11 states. By 2025, the company plans to significantly expand its network, with new stations slated for installation in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
"Love’s is proud to play a key role in building out the nation's fast-charging EV network," said Shane Wharton, President of Love’s. "We've been involved in the EV space since 2017 and have steadily grown our network. With more than 100 chargers already installed across 11 states, these upcoming investments will further demonstrate our commitment to meeting our customers' needs, regardless of their choice of fuel."
