160 new quick chargers in Ontario, Canada
The Canadian government will provide $8 million, 73 sites in Ontario to install 160 new quick charger. Charging stations will operate under the name ivy charging network.
In order to implement the project, water and electricity companies and Ontario electricity company has set up a joint venture called ivy charging network. Two companies' goal is to use the state of electric vehicles and alternative fuels infrastructure deployment plan (EVAFIDI) funding, in Ontario, set up a wide range of quick charge network - the average distance between each station does not exceed 100 kilometers.
