Hubject will partner with IoTecha, a company that specializes in providing software and hardware to support the charging infrastructure for electric cars. Their main focus point is the use of plug-ins and charging.
Hubject and IoTecha hope that through the ISO 15118 standard electric cars, on a global scale to simplify plug and play and the realization of the intelligent charging system and use. Specifically, IoTecha will use the Hubject system and signed the digital certificate issued, to install in IoTecha module combination charging system (CCSoM) products.
Barton Sidles, ject's senior director of business and enterprise development, says the goal is to make plugging and charging available to "a wider range of users". Plug and play without RFID card to start the charging process. When cars are connected to a charging station, they authenticate themselves and regulate billing -- just like tesla's super charger. Partners hope more simple store will provide a better customer experience, so as to promote the electric car's launch. Sidles said: "by charging technology further development, we can work together, through the provision of intelligence and security solutions, push forward weak areas."
But ISO 15118 provides the opportunity to go further: enable utilities to intelligent charging technology and city planners, large fleet operators, owners and local government cooperation, prediction and management when the charging amount of energy into the electric car. Such energy management can help reduce network congestion and the associated need for additional expensive infrastructure projects.
